Gilgit Baltistan

Situated in northern area of Pakistan, is the most beautiful place, though the way up there is long and quite dry, still its all worth in the end. Its a place filled with generous and friendly people. If you are looking for a place for adventure this is just a place for you. 
Even if you are traveling in summer make sure to grab some warm clothes as it could get chilly there.
This is a place where you can really connect with nature. If you are fan of fresh fruit you will find many of them there. The road to Gilgit also connect to China and one Fun Fact residents of Gilgit can travel to China with out any visa. 

There are many places you can visit there. Two famous forts Baltit and Altit fort are worth seeing. There is lake there Known as Attabad Lake. Attabad Lake in Hunza, was formed In January 2010, a massive landslide blocked the flow of River Hunza, creating a natural dam and burying 20 people beneath it. The rising water displaced thousands of residents and submerged countless villages, fields, orchards a well as a 19-kilometre stretch of the Karakoram Highway (KKH). In 2012, a spillway was created to release a steady flow of water and as the water receded, it revealed the villages that had been buried beneath. It is only now that people have started returning to rebuild their homes and lives.

The lake in sight is deep blue in color which is quite fascinating, and a true miracle of nature. This lake in winter turns to solid ice. Even in summer the water of this lake is quite cold. this point is a perfect picnic spot for families.
